We are creating the future of music and education on the Scioto Peninsula in downtown Columbus.
The new music hall will combine state-of-the-art technology, design and acoustic calibrations unlike any this region has had to date.
Tuned for Acoustic Excellence
The Symphony’s current theater was designed as a film house. The new music hall will be designed for musical performance, bringing a true music experience to Central Ohio for the first time.
A New Home for the Columbus Symphony
Columbus Symphony musicians, conductors, chorus and renowned guest artists bring talent, passion and the highest standards of musicianship to Central Ohio. The Symphony plays an integral role in Columbus’ vibrant art scene, reaching more than 2.3 million people each year and impacting musical education for more than 65,000 children, families and teachers each year. The new hall will provide a home for the symphony, elevating the musical experience for all.
An Iconic Community Landmark
Great cities have great artists, great leaders and great architecture. The new music hall will not only bring exceptional music to Central Ohio, but it will also bring a beautifully designed space to a part of the city that is currently empty, contributing to the vibrancy and vitality of the Scioto Peninsula.
The Location
Located on the Scioto Peninsula along the banks of the Scioto River, where you can enjoy incredible views of downtown Columbus and a thriving and growing neighborhood.
The Need
Franklin County currently only meets 51% of the demand for Performing Arts & Culture. This music and education center will give diverse performing arts and culture opportunities to expand and meet that demand.
This music hall will fill a gap in Columbus of medium-sized, acoustically calibrated venues.
This project is estimated to contribute to local spending and sales and raise the activity of businesses downtown and on the Peninsula.
